Learn More About the Ghost Ball

Explore our complete Ghost Ball guide to understand the aiming concept, practice different shot positions, and build a more accurate and consistent aiming routine.

What Is a Ghost Ball & How to Use It in Pool (Full Guide)Most missed shots in pool are not stroke problems — they are aiming problems. You line up a cut shot, you feel confident, and the object ball slide...

What Is a "Ghost Ball"?

The ghost ball method shows you exactly where to aim — no guesswork. Imagine a "ghost" ball sitting right behind the object ball, touching it at the exact point your cue ball needs to hit. Line up the center of the ghost ball with the pocket, and that's your aiming line. Use the training card to place and see this contact point for real, drill after drill, until your eyes learn to see it on their own — even without the card.

HOW TO USE GHOST BALL TRAINER?

➊ Position the Ghost Ball Trainer ➊
Place the Ghost Ball Trainer at the object ball position on the table. Align it according to your desired pocket angle. The transparent design lets you see through to the ball underneath while showing the exact ghost ball position for perfect aim.
➋ Place the Target Object Ball ➋
Position your object ball on top of the Ghost Ball Trainer, touching at the exact contact point. This shows you precisely where the cue ball must hit the object ball to pocket it successfully at your chosen angle.
➌ Aim and Execute Your Shot ➌
Line up your cue to aim at the visible contact point on the Ghost Ball Trainer. Focus on hitting that exact spot with your cue ball. Execute your stroke with proper control and watch how accurate aiming produces consistent results.
➍ Practice and Build Feeling Memory ➍
Repeat shots from multiple positions and angles with the trainer. Practice straight shots, cut shots, and various pocket angles. With consistent repetition, your brain memorizes these aiming points, developing the natural shot visualization skills that professionals use.

TRAINING IN MULTIPLE POSITIONS

Move the cue ball, and the correct aim line moves with it. Place the ghost ball anywhere on the table — near the rail, mid-table, or the full length away — and train every cut angle from every position you'll actually face in a real game.

MASTER COMBNINATION SHOTS

Most players fire at a combination and hope. With two ghost balls on the table, you see both contact points at once — where the cue ball meets the first ball, and where that ball must meet the second. Geometry, not guesswork.
